In 2014, designer Ben Bloom stewed in a Palm Springs bar, wishing he could plunge a straw through the brim of his hat.

In 2017, a magnesium fire erupted on a stove in Beverly Hills while heating our original branding iron.

In 2017, we first launched at the Travis Taddeo Showroom in Soho, New York City.

In 2018, we were featured at the Critics’ Choice Awards in Santa Monica, California — which we'd love to call a Red Carpet event, but the carpet was actually blue.

ℬen Bloom distills the unnerving, dream-based imagery of the Surrealist movement into hats inspired by contemporaneous events, erotic fantasy, traditional and avant-garde art, and his own psyche. His inspirations draw on the Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles from the West, themselves influenced by Japanese aesthetics, as well as the Western modernist movements of Cubism, Dutch De Stijl, and Italian Futurism.
